Accommodations

The Newbury Guest House is housed in three former single-family Victorian residences built in the Queen Anne and Ruskin styles. These homes were part of a new neighborhood being developed in the 1880's over a landfill known as the Back Bay -- at a time when well-to-do Bostonians were running out of available real estate on Beacon Hill.

Renovated in the early 1990's, these three homes were combined to create a 32-room bed and breakfast in the heart of Boston. Now independently owned and operated by a local Bostonian, this historic inn still contains many original details such as ceiling medallions, parquet and hardwood floors, and decorative fireplaces.

All rooms have a bathroom, telephone, hi-speed wireless Internet, and cable TV. Handicap accessible rooms are available and there is also an elevator on the premises.

Rooms on the front side of the Guest House overlook bustling Newbury Street where people watching is a favorite pastime; while rooms on the rear side of the house can be quieter and overlook the rear of other historic homes across a tree-lined alley.
